Since I stand by the practice, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity for me to share the basics of the Law of Attraction (LOA). The concept has helped me through quite a lot of rather nasty situations in my life. Before I start this article, I am going to break this to you now:
This concept is not some sort of magic, it is the power of the state of your mind.
Law of Attraction, something you may have heard of but can’t pinpoint exactly what it is? Well, you’re in luck! In this article, I aim to break down what it is and how to apply it to your life.
Here is something you should keep in mind while reading it:
Like attracts like. What you attract into your life is a reflection of your thoughts.
The law of it is that you will get what you ask for. What you often think: what is often in your mind is often what you get. For example, if you wanted a job and thought to yourself that you can get a job, then you will motivate yourself to try very hard to get a job. However, if you think that you are not good enough for a job, then you will go ahead and take the easy route without even trying because you think you will fail to get a job that you really want.
The law of attraction requires you to be rather mindful of your thoughts and headspace so you can connect your internals to your externals. Internals being your mind and externals being your actions.
Since you get what you ask for, the power are in the words that you choose to use with yourself and your mindset. What you tell yourself is a reflection of what you get. Lying to yourself that you think something when you realistically think of another wouldn’t work either, this is why the Law of Attraction is a personal mindful practice of yourself and your mind.
I am going to give you one example of my own personal story of how I use the Law of Attraction to heal myself. I am super open about having severe depression, however, I have been healing myself through the power of the Law of Attraction.
I have been seeing therapists, however, it makes no difference to me whether or not I am seeing them if I am not willing to make the change with their advice. To me, I know best when I am ready to make the change or know what changes I want in my life. Depression is often caused by childhood trauma or bad experiences that often scare you away from life by thinking you do not deserve better than what you had previously experienced. This is one thing that you have to remember: You can’t change the past but you can change the future. Revise your truth. Part of the Law of Attraction is that you have the power to create your own reality by shaping your future and how you want it to be.
Other people cannot heal you if you’re not willing to heal yourself. The change starts from within and only you can stay true to yourself with your thoughts and your mindset.
Neville Goddard is a well-known teacher in this concept. He teaches that
“Only as one is willing to give up his present limitations and identity can he become that which he desires to be.”
From my understanding of this, if you think your past could have been better, think about the BETTER that you wish you had and make it a part of your future. Without the bad, you would have nothing to compare to help you understand what is actually good. This is why the meaning of success, good, bad, beautiful is very different for each individual. One must be able to dictate the meaning of those definitions for their own life.
Everything you experience in life is the result of your thoughts and your imagination.
